Who we are

MicroPay is a Financial Technology (FINTECH) Company providing an innovative electronic payments platform designed to enable multiple forms of secure e-payment methods. MicroPay is Licensed and Regulated by The Bank of Uganda as a Payment Service Provider (PSP) and Payment Service Operator (PSO).

The platform acts as an open and neutral intermediary between Financial Institutions (FIs), Customers and Non-Customers of FIs in the mobile money ecosystem. The system is independent of Mobile network operators (MNOs) and only require one to have a phone.

MICROPAY AGENT REQUIREMENTS

Join our network of successful agents providing financial services across Uganda.

a. Sole Proprietorship

Tax identification Number (TIN) for the individual.
National Identification Number (Copy of the original National ID).
Current photo of the business premise.
Local Council letter from the area location of business.
Trading License/ proof of existence of running business.
Two current passport photos.
A valid telephone number registered in agent’s names.
Bluetooth printer to print receipts after transactions.
Android device / POS machines with 4G network.
Deposit a minimum float of UGX 50,000 for startup capital.

b. Registered Company

Company Tax Identification number (TIN).
Copies of National IDs for company directors.
Company form 1, form 18 and form 20 or form 7 (Certified Copies).
Certified Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association.
Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation.
Two passport photos for each director.
Valid telephone numbers for directors.
Bluetooth printer to print receipts after transactions.
Android device / POS machines with 4G network.
Deposit minimum float of UGX 100,000 for startup capital.
