What is Micropay Mobile Money platform?

The platform allows customers irrespective of their telecom operator to register and make payments for many e-services. Our product offering inlcude:

How it works

How to get started
  • Visit any of our Agents
  • Provide Valid Identification
  • Fill in our Registration Form
  • Accept Terms and Conditions
  • Download Micropay Mobile Money from or and start transacting
  • Go to 'Send Money' option of the menu
  • Input Recipient phone number, Amount to Transfer and Reason
  • You will see a confirmation screen to review your request
  • Provide your PIN & Select 'Proceed'
  • You will receive SMS on your handset

A MicroPay wallet can be funded at any of our Agents location in Uganda.

Steps:

  • Go to a MicroPay Mobile Money Agent
  • Provide your Mobile Phone Number.
  • Provide the amount you want to credit to your e-wallet
  • Deposit Money to the Agent
  • Receive SMS from MicroPay Mobile Money to confirm Cash-In
  • Go to a MicroPay Mobile Money Agent
  • Select 'Withdraw' from Micropay Menu
  • Enter Agent's CODE displayed
  • Input Amount & Reason for the Cash-Out
  • You will be presented with a confirmation message
  • Provide your PIN and select 'Proceed'
  • You will get an SMS on completion informing you of your new MicroPay Mobile Money balance
  • The Agent will also get a confirmation that he has received cash from your mobile number.
  • You can now collect your cash and sign the Agent transaction book
  • Go to a MicroPay Mobile Money app
  • Select 'Request Payment'
  • Enter the number of the person you are requesting from
  • Request Amount, and add a reason for the Request
  • You will be presented with a confirmation message
  • Provide your PIN and select 'Proceed' to continue
  • Go to a MicroPay Mobile Money app
  • Select 'Pay Bills & Buy Goods'
  • Select 'Utility, Pay Tv or Pay Merchants & Buy Goods'
  • Enter Type of Bill (e.g NWSC or UMEME)
  • Input 'Biller Number' (your customer number for NWSC or UMEME)
  • Select 'Enter Amount' and enter PIN
  • Confirm the recipients details and send
  • Receive confirmation, 'Transaction successful'
  • Receive SMS confirmation
